Meet our teachers

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
LOLAs Early Care and Education Center

Mrs. Meghan Strawcutter, M.Ed.

Meghan earned her Bachelor's Degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Child and Family Studies. She continued her studies at Carlow University earning her Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Teacher Certification. Meghan has also obtained certification in Pennsylvania Quality Assurance System (PQAS) as a Professional Development Instructor. Meghan's most recent experience includes instructing undergraduate students at Westmoreland County Community College (2014 - Present) and Indiana University of Pennsylvania (2012 - 2015). She has over fifteen years of professional experience in various child care settings, including seven years as a teacher in a star four, NAEYC accredited early learning center.

Meghan has a Bachelor's Degree in Child & Family Studies. She has 5 years of experience working at a star four early learning center and excells at providing a nuturing environment for your little one.

NAZARETH CLASSROOM

​Kassarah Brooks, B.S. Ed.

​​Kassarah has a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. She is a Pennsylvania Certified Teacher and has experience teaching children in an emotional support classroom.

BETHLEHEM CLASSROOM
Older Toddlers Lead Teacher
​Alyssa Battick,
B.S.

Alyssa has a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development and Family Relations. She has a variety of experiences working with young children and excels at providing an exciting environment for your active toddler.

EDEN CLASSROOM 
Full-Day 3/4 Year-Old Preschool Lead Teacher

Taylor Clawson, B.S.

Taylor has a Bachelor's Degree in Child Develop and Family Relations. She has experience as an Assistant Preschool and Young Toddler Teacher. She thrives in understanding each child's individual needs and in preparing lessons allowing them to advance in their abilities. 

JERUSALEM CLASSROOM 
Full-Day 4/5 Year-Old Preschool Lead Teacher
Katlin Anderson,
B.S.

Katlin (Katie) Anderson has a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development and Family Relations. Katie has a creative energy. She works with the children on an individual basis.  She presents new and challenging experiences to allow them to advance both socially and educationally. 

JERUSALEM CLASSROOM 
Part-Day Preschool Lead Teacher
Jane Piccirillo,
B.S. Ed.

Jane has a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education and is a Pennsylvania Certified Teacher. She has over 40 years of teaching experience, including 22 years with 3 - 5 year old children diagnosed with developmental delays.

What Makes a
LOLAs Teacher?

All Lead Teachers hold a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.

​All Assistant Teachers hold a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.

All Aides hold a minimum of a High School Diploma and 40+ Hours of Professional Development Training ... OR ... a High School Diploma and 2 Years of verified experience working with children.
​

All LOLAs employees are certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED. All LOLAs employees have current state clearances and maintain professional development hours as required by Keystone STARS and DHS.
