Meet our teachers

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
LOLAs Early Care and Education Center

Mrs. Meghan Strawcutter, M.Ed.

Ms Meghan earned her Bachelor's Degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Child Development and Family Studies. She continued her studies at Carlow University earning her Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education and PA Teacher Certification. Meghan has also obtained certification in Pennsylvania Quality Assurance System (PQAS) as a Professional Development Instructor. Meghan's most recent experience includes instructing undergraduate students at Westmoreland County Community College (2014 - 2019) and Indiana University of Pennsylvania (2012 - 2015). She has over fifteen years of professional experience in various child care settings, including six years as a teacher in a star four, NAEYC accredited early learning center.

Taylor Buday, B.S.

Ms Taylor earned her Bachelor's Degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Child Development and Family Studies. She began working at LOLAs in 2016 as an assistant preschool teacher. Taylor found her passion working with young toddlers as a lead teacher in 2018 and remained as a lead for three years. She joined the administration team in 2021 as assistant director.

​Stephanie Daugherty, M.S.

Ms Stephanie has a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development and Family Relations. She has a variety of experiences working with young children including teaching in a preschool setting as well as in a toddler classroom. Stephanie creates a nurturing environment where each infants individual needs are met in a caring way. 

Infants Assistant Teacher
Karin Frobey

Ms Karin joined our school after moving to Pennsylvania from South Carolina in order to be closer to her adult children. She has a wealth of experience working with infants - as she was a lead teacher at a high quality facility in South Carolina for many years. Her love for the youngest of children is obvious as she is a very nurturing and warm teacher who always puts the needs of the infants first.

Jaimie Rising, CDA

Ms Jaimie has a variety of experiences working with children including Sunday school teacher, various volunteer opportunities and raising four children of her own. Ms Jaimie, who the children refer to as "Meme"  works to build a relationship with the children and their families. The children thrive in the nurturing and home style environment Ms Jaimie creates in the classroom. Ms Jaimie will be completing her CDA with  WCCC and will continue on to earn her Associates Degree. ​
Young Toddlers Assistant Teacher
Kayla Bell
Ms Kayla is fun and energetic - the perfect fit for the young toddler classroom! She is a quick learner and works hard to provide the children with the best classroom possible. When you walk into the young toddler classroom you will always hear music playing and the teachers singing along, with the children!

BETHLEHEM CLASSROOM
Older Toddlers Co-Lead Teacher
Angie Mauk, CDA

Ms Angie M is our Co-Lead teacher in the older toddler classroom, Bethlehem along with Ms Angie P. Together they are an outstanding team. Ms Angie earned her CDA from HACC University. She was a young toddler teacher for almost two years before beginning to work for LOLAs. Ms Angie brings a positive energy to the classroom. The children are drawn to the exciting lessons she plans and her clear passion for working with young children. 

Older Toddlers Co-Lead Teacher
Angie Pierce, CDA

Ms Angie Pierce is our Co-Lead teacher in the older toddler classroom, Bethlehem along with Ms Angie M. Together they are an outstanding team. Ms Angie earned her CDA from Edinboro University. She began working for LOLAs in 2021 after much experience working with young children in child care settings. Ms Angie is a very dedicated teacher who is knowledgeable in  Autism and Special Needs. 

EDEN CLASSROOM 
Full-Day 3/4 Year-Old Preschool Lead Teacher

Amanda Schrecongost, B.S.

Ms Amanda graduated Magna Cum Laude from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors in Disability Services. Amanda began her career over five years ago and gained experience in classrooms ranging from infants all the way to before/after school care for children up to age twelve. During her time in the field she has filled many roles, including lead teacher, center safety captain, team lead and assistant director. Ms Amanda brings a wealth of experience to the classroom and provides a structured, play-based, educationally focused experience for the children. 
​Young Preschool Assistant Teacher
Hayley Henning, CDA
Ms Hayley graduated from Edinboro University earning her CDA. Hayley is furthering her education by enrolling to obtain her associates degree in Early Childhood Education. She genuinely cares for the children in the classroom and finds herself dedicated to the growth and development of each child.

JERUSALEM CLASSROOM 
Full-Day 4/5 Year-Old Preschool Lead Teacher
Christina Dolan, B.A.

Ms Christina graduated Cum Laude from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is devoted to making a positive difference in the lives of children. Ms Christina creates an inviting and welcoming classroom for the children and their families. She has experience working with individuals in a wide range of abilities. As one of our newest teachers, we are excited to watch the children learn and grow in Ms Christina's room!

GALILLE CLASSROOM 
School-Age Co-Lead Teacher (Summer)

Macayla Traverso-Bloom, B.A.

Ms Macayla graduated from Slippery Rock University with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. Ms Macayla is in her first year working as the Summer Lead Teacher for the School-Age program and she is very excited to bring creative and fun activities for the children to learn and enjoy! Ms Macayla works during the school-year as a substitute teacher in the local school district elementary schools. She is passionate about the education and success of young children. 
School-Age Co-Lead Teacher (School-Year)
​Ms Taya Yanoschick
Ms Taya began working for LOLAs in 2019 as a part-time assistant teacher. The Lead School-Age Teacher allows Ms Taya to continue her education while being available for the students both in the morning and after school. She invests her heart in her students, getting to know each on a personal level. Ms Taya is creative and works to provide individual instruction based on the child's unique interests.
