A Virtual Tour of The Classroom...
The Eden Preschool Classroom is set up for children ages 3-4 years old. In this room the teacher plans activities to assist in building the children's social skills, cognitive skills and gross and fine motor skills. Pro-social skills develop as children work together to discuss, plan and build structures in the block area. They work together to create a narrative in the dramatic play center - whether it be a veterinary clinic, grocery store or restaurant. The live plants and hermit crabs offer children a chance to learn about taking care of living things - and what we need to grow and thrive.
Children in the classroom will transition to the 4/5 year old classroom to advance their skills in the same areas - with a bit more challenging materials in the Jerusalem Classroom. The teachers observe and discuss when a four year old is ready to move.
